Orthodontic Assistants

Karen

Karen attended the Median School, and graduated from their dental assisting program. She has been working in the dental field since 1985, and has been with our practice since 1991. Karen enjoys her job because she likes meeting new people and interacting with them every day.


 

Catherine

Catherine has been working in the dental field since 1981. She has worked for Dr. Grady and Dr. Kastner since 1992. Catherine had always worked part-time while she was raising her family, and just began working full-time in 2007.

 

Melissa

Mostly everyone calls Melissa “Mel”. She is a 1991 graduate of Shaler Area High School and Beattie Technical School, where she was enrolled in the Dental Assisting program. Mel is certified in dental radiology. She has been with Dr. Grady and Dr. Kastner since 1992. Mel is referred to as a “Floater” assistant. This means that since she is so proficient at assisting, she can fill in wherever she is needed throughout the day in order to keep our schedule running as efficiently as possible.

Laurie

Laurie’s orthodontic career began in Boston during her high school years. She has been an orthodontic assistant with our practice since 1993. In addition to her position as an orthodontic assistant, Laurie is also our Clinical Staff Coordinator. She has the responsibility of effectively coordinating staff vacations, sick days, etc. Laurie is also responsible for the elaborate holiday decorating that our office is so proud of! Her many years of experience in the orthodontic field make her an asset to our team. Laurie enjoys being a part of such a successful practice!
 

Shari

Shari has worked at our office since 1995. She is our “Records” person. When you come to our office for your first visit, Shari will take your digital photos and then when you are ready to have diagnostic records, she will take your x-rays and impressions. Shari’s outgoing personality and special rapport with patients of all ages will make everyone feel at ease on their first visit with us!

 

Donna W.

Donna W. has been an orthodontic assistant for twenty years, and has worked for Dr. Grady and Dr. Kastner since 1997. Donna is scheduled with all of our patients who come in for their six month or yearly check-ups. She enjoys being able to see each and every patients finished result. Donna is also responsible for ordering the dental supplies for our office.
 

Gina L.

Gina enjoys her job considering that she loves children! She feels that the staff at our office is very dedicated and qualified. “Keep Smiling!”




 

Bridgette

Bridgette is a 1984 graduate of Burgettstown Jr./Sr. High School and attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Hygiene for her dental assisting training. She joined our practice in 1998. Bridgette considers it an absolute pleasure to come to work every day and interact with the terrific staff (who she considers to be her second family), the doctors and the patients at our office.
 

Norma

Norma has worked at our office since 1999. She feels that orthodontics is a truly rewarding career because of the relationships that we develop with our patients, as well as being able to make beautiful smiles.



 

Kristen

Kristen has been our sterilization technician since 1998. Kristen enjoys meeting the patient’s as she delivers sterile instruments to the clinic.

Kristen was married in September 2007. When she’s not working she enjoys relaxing and following the Pittsburgh sports teams with her husband. She is an avid Penguins and Penn State football fan.
 

Julie

Julie has worked at our office since 1998. She began as an orthodontic assistant and is now our Clinical Coordinator. Julie directs the doctors throughout the day in the clinic to help our office run efficiently and to make your visit here as enjoyable as possible. Julie enjoys her job and especially likes all of our great and interesting patients.

 

Amanda

Amanda has been working in the orthodontic field since 1995 and joined our practice in 2000. She feels that this place is terrific! Patients and co-workers gravitate to Amanda’s positive and upbeat personality.

Amanda is happily married with a beautiful daughter. She enjoys her job very much and the part that makes it the most fun are her patients!
 

Gina D.

Gina joined our practice in 2002. In addition to being an assistant, Gina also helps take care of the new patient’s and their records appointment.

We are so proud that Gina became a volunteer firefighter, as well as a certified emergency medical technician in 2007. Gina and her husband are also expecting their first child in the Spring of 2008. Congratulations on a banner year!

Donna

Donna’s dental career began in 1988 with experience in periodontics as well as orthodontics. She joined our office in 2006.

Donna enjoys working at our office and being a part of a team that is so friendly, upbeat and talented. Donna’s many years of experience afford her the confidence and proficiency to provide the best care possible to the patients that she assists with.

Randy

Randy began his career as a lab technician in 1988, and joined our practice in 1997. He fabricates the orthodontic appliances for our practice (rapid palatal expanders, dual arch expanders, bionators, etc.)


 

Annette

Annette has worked as our in-office Lab Technician since 1992. She fabricates all of our invisible retainers. Annette feels that this is a great place to work. She has five grown children, four of which had orthodontic treatment at our office. As a result, they all have beautiful smiles!
